Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of Billing Specialists, managing workloads, delegating tasks, providing ongoing training, and supporting performance evaluations to ensure accurate, efficient billing operations.
  • Oversee daily billing activities, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex billing issues, collaborating with Billing Managers, Billing Attorneys, and local office leadership to resolve discrepancies and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Partner with the e-billing team to address invoice rejections, disputes, and setup challenges, ensuring timely implementation and compliance for new e-billing clients.
  • Perform high-level billing tasks, including prebill edits and generating complex invoices in Aderant/Prebill Viewer when escalated by attorneys or specialists.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency, recommending automation, enhancing workflow accuracy, preparing ad-hoc billing reports, and maintaining strong relationships with attorneys, clients, and firm leadership.
